Windows 10 vs Windows 11

Published by Paul Liddle on 28th Jul 2024

So often, people feel that because there is a newer version of Windows, such as Windows 11, this newer version must somehow be better and therefor, they must get it.  While it is true that newer versions will typically offer some benefits over the older version, the more important question is, are these benefits something that you really need or want.  If you view your laptop has a productivity tool and you are already getting the job done, then why be in hurry to make a changes.  Inevitably, with every new version, there is a learning process and if anything, this change may slow down your productivity.  So the key questions is not whether the new version is better in some way, but more importantly, is it better for you and should you make a change.

Now if you are the type that just loves trying out something new, then of course try it out.  But if it is about getting the job done, then Windows 10 is an awesome operating system, tried and proven for many years and it will continue to work for you, for years to come.
